It can also be used by passengers with no vehicle, as it's a much more affordable way than taking a speedboat. This big ferry operates between Khlong Hia Pier on Koh Yao Yai, Laem Sai Pier on Koh Yao Noi, and Khlong Sai Pier in Krabi.

- The F2 ferry departs from Krabi in the morning and from Koh Yao Yai in the afternoon.
- The F9 ferry departs from Koh Yao Yai in the morning and from Krabi in the afternoon.
1. Khlong Hia Pier on Koh Yao Yai
Khlong Hia Pier is located in the northern part of Koh Yao Yai island, not far from the famous Baan Rim Nam Restaurant. It is the starting point of the ferry route to Krabi.

2. Laem Sai Pier on Koh Yao Noi
On the way, the ferry makes a stop at Laem Sai Pier, which is located at the southernmost tip of Koh Yao Noi island. The pier is quite far from the busiest parts of the island, with the nearest and a very well-rated accommodation being Koyao Bay Pavilions.

Koh Yao Yai & Noi to Krabi Ferry Schedule
In May 2026, the F2 ferry departures from Krabi are scheduled at 07:30 and 12:30.
From Koh Yao Yai, the F2 ferry departures are scheduled at 10:00 and 15:00.
In May 2026, the F9 ferry departures from Koh Yao Yai are not scheduled.
From Krabi, the F9 ferry departures are not scheduled.
The journey by these ferries between Koh Yao Noi and Krabi normally takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes, while the trip from Krabi to Koh Yao Yai takes about 2 hours.

Ferry Ticket Price
Starting from 1 May 2025, the ferry tickets for foreigners are sold at the following prices:
- 250 THB per adult for a one-way ticket
- 150 THB per child for a one-way ticket
If you are traveling without a motorbike or car, taking a speedboat might be a better option. The price is higher, but the trip is significantly shorter, and the piers used on Koh Yao Noi and in Krabi are located in more convenient locations for most travelers.
